The new chairman of the board and board of directors are installed and annual awards such as business and citizen of the year are honored. Expected Attendance: 800 ![]() ATHENA Award Presentation – May The mission of ATHENA of Riverside is to open doors of leadership opportunities for women through inspiration, education, cultivation, and mentoring. The ATHENA committee annually honors a person who furthers that mission at a luncheon that takes place at The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa. During the program, the committee also awards multiple scholarships to women who are current enrolled at the collegiate level in a local school. Expected Attendance: 200 Contact mmmacgregor@riverside-chamber.com for more information and investment opportunities Leadership Commencement – June Since its inception in 1986, Leadership Riverside has led the way for a better Riverside by empowering decision-makers of local businesses, organizations, schools, and universities with the knowledge to address a wide array of critical issues in the region. Each year the graduating class celebrates the completion of their program and commemorates their journey with a special graduation luncheon and award ceremony honoring a past alumnus who has exhibited outstanding leadership towards Riverside’s progress. Now called the Riverside Business Mega Mixer and Expo, the week combines with the Chamber’s AfterHours Business Mixer, Business In Action, and Business Seminar Series for a week focused on connecting local businesses with resources, education, and connection opportunities. Volunteers gather to express their appreciation to "TEAM MARCH" and all of our military servicemen, women, and families for the sacrifices they undergo while serving our country. The picnic provides a relaxed atmosphere for military personnel to enjoy great music and great food while spending quality time with their families. Funds raised through the sale of tee signs, player fees, door prizes, and sponsorships go towards the annual programs that serve the business community and community programs. The Chamber’s Riverside College & Career Fair provides students and their parents one-stop access to hundreds of colleges, universities, businesses, and educational support organizations. Representatives from public and private colleges and universities from around the state and across the country, as well as local businesses and industries, inform students of the diverse career and education paths they can take. Students also attend workshops to learn first-hand from the experts about financial aid, college admissions, job interviews, career technical education, and other essential topics. The goal of this summit is to give attendees the information they need to be an active player in the legislative process, presenting the business perspective on policy issues affecting a company's bottom line. Business In Action – 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the Month Members engage in powerful networking opportunities while gaining insights from expert speakers on diverse and relevant topics. Members elevate their business sense through making connections and presentations. Good Morning Riverside – 2nd Thursday of the Month An information-packed program to brief the business community on breaking economic development news, updates on hot business issues, and the introduction of new business leaders. Over 200 Chamber members attend each month, so a big supply of business cards is required. This event is held at The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa and begins at 7:00 AM. ![]() INSIDE Meetings – 1st Thursday and 3rd Tuesday of the Month Spanning over 85 square miles, Riverside is a large and diverse city. Because of the size of our greater Riverside community, the Chamber discovered we can better serve our community by having six different geographical divisions. The Chamber has six Business Councils which hold INSIDE Meetings to give members the opportunity to make local connections and discuss specific challenges and opportunities occurring in the area.
