Riverside Intern Connection
The Chamber’s Leadership Riverside Class of 2015 invites local businesses to share their current and upcoming internship positions to Riverside Intern Connection’s website, a pilot project to retain college students from Riverside’s higher education institutions. Post internship positions for free. Search for available university and college student candidates. Download the free toolkit for guidelines and best practices for creating an internship. This site gives local students and employers the opportunity to connect and build up tomorrow’s workforce.
Riverside College & Career Fair
The Chamber enlists the business community to support its annual Riverside College & Career Fair, which provides thousands of Riverside students and their families with a one-stop opportunity to get the information they need to apply for college and find a career pathway.
Read Across America – Dr. Seuss Day
The Chamber supports Read Across America and enlists members to visit a classroom, engage with students, and read from their favorite children’s book. This annual event recognizes the importance of motivating children to read in order to create a workforce that is ready for 21st century jobs.
New District Employees Welcome
Chamber members have the opportunity to support local schools and promote their business by donating general school supplies or promotional items to welcome new teachers and staff at Alvord Unified School District and Riverside Unified School District. The supplies are given to the teachers and staff at their district welcome reception.
